Mike Edwards started his racing career in 1976, bracket racing at Oklahoma tracks. He was the NHRA Modified champion in 1981 and made his Pro Stock debut in 1982 competing in two events. He was named NHRA Co-Rookie of the Year in 1996 after winning three races and finishing third in the points standings. He earned first Pro Stock victory at 1996 Slick 50 Nationals in first career final round. Mike served as crew chief for David Nickens from 1989-91 and for Ron Krisher from 2000-01 and as crew chief for Ron Krisher from 2000-2001. In 1981 he was again the NHRA Modified champion. He also won the 1998 U.S. Nationals and has six top-10 and three top-five points finishes.
