The Pedregon family has been involved in drag racing for many years now. You are probably familiar with Cruz and Tony but it all began with their father, Frank Pedregon. Frank raced a front-engine dragster coupe and became known as "Flamin' Frank". For the 50th Anniversary of the NHRA, Cruz paid tribute to his father by racing the "Flamin' Frank" Firebird Funny Car. The result is what you see here.
The car that is now up for auction is the Action 1/24 scale Cruz Pedregon "Flamin' Frank" 2001 Firebird Funny Car. This car is painted in a beautiful red color and has an image of Frank's dragster on the side with the same wheelbase so it looks like two cars in one. It also has a picture of Frank on the hood. Only 2,508 of these cars were ever produced and they are almost impossible to find anymore.
